There’s no standard version of an elopement, but real examples show you more than a description ever could: both what’s possible and what it actually costs.
A full day in the Bernese Oberland — landed at €9550
A couple who wanted one day, done properly. We started in Lauterbrunnen and moved through to Grindelwald, hair and makeup in the valley, then upward. A picnic on private land, a short glacier landing by helicopter in the afternoon, wildflowers carried through all of it. They were in Switzerland for a week and wanted their elopement to feel like the centrepiece. It did. Total included my coverage and experience design plus €750 for styling, €200 for florals, a €600 picnic on private land, and a €1000 helicopter landing.
An overnight on the mountain — landed at €8350
Two hikers who didn’t want flowers or styling; just time, altitude, and each other. We took the train up in the afternoon, a first look at sunset near the hotel, stayed up for stars, and were back out before first light. Ceremony on a ridge with nothing but mountains behind them. On the way down, they walked straight into the lake in their wedding clothes. The hotel, dinner, breakfast, and the trains – which was all included in the hotel booking – were the only addition to the base price. Total included my overnight coverage and experience design plus €350 for the mountain hotel with dinner, breakfast, and train access.
Two days in Zermatt — landed at €12650
They wanted the Matterhorn and they wanted to move. Hair and makeup early on day one, a first look at Sunnega, a walk through town, then up to Gornergrat for sunset vows and stargazing. The next morning they watched the sunrise, paraglided down into the valley, then crossed into Italy via the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing to end at an alpine lake. Total included plus €850 for styling, €600 for the hotel with dinner and breakfast, €600 for paragliding, and €600 for trains and crossings.
