I had seen brides and grooms diving into the swimming pool on the morning of their wedding day, but never had I thought of them jumping in after saying ‘I do’. Of course, things are different when you only invite 12 guests and you spend a full week together at a beautiful castle in France. This is what Victoria and Phil did as they were traveling in with friends from Australia to meet family and friends from the UK and Canada.

This wedding was as easy-going as they come. From pairing a beautiful Karen Willis Holmes dress with Bershka shoes and delaying the ceremony for an hour, to drinking Champagne while saying their vows and having a Michelin star chef serve appetizers at the swimming pool – everything was just as they liked it (which I loved).

I’ll never forget the love in Victoria’s eyes, the moment Phil decided to whisper his vows, dancing with their son Hudson who was ready to move to the Netherlands with me, and the sweet gestures of their daughter Paloma. And it wasn’t just this beautiful family that welcomed me like an old friend, it was this whole beautiful group of just 16 people. I felt lucky to be a part of this incredible,¬†small gathering with people from all over the world sharing beautiful, special moments together.

After receiving their wedding photos Victoria emailed me:

Omg Eline that is just so perfect!! You brought tears to my eyes. It really was the most perfect day for us. You really caught the essence of the day and were more than what we could have ever expected from our wedding photographer. Thank you so so much.
